"...Some things can't be taught or learned. Dawn’s greatest talent lies with her ability to connect with the people she is covering, to intuitively get to the heart of the story and what’s most compelling. This comes across in the end result. It’s why “The Good Stuff” stories she produces have developed such a passionate following. We so need those stories in today’s news climate to balance all the hard news and breaking news about crime, accidents and tragedies. No one does these inspirational stories better than Dawn. It’s a true gift.
Hospice is a field that requires great sensitivity. Although I have worked with many competent and professional reporters through the years, no one covers this challenging time in people’s lives with the intuitive understanding and heart that Dawn does. What impresses me the most every time I work with her is the way she is able to connect with individuals from all walks of life. In every hospice story she has covered, she immediately establishes a level of trust.
Those being interviewed know she is a person of integrity and compassion. Consequently, they are unafraid to open up. This allows her to really capture the essence of each person and story she is covering. Any organization would be very fortunate indeed to have Dawn as a member of its news team!"
"Your speech was incredible! Your ability to be vulnerable about your setbacks and turn it into an opportunity to give back is very inspiring. I find it fascinating that you were able to take a negative situation and turn it into a positive. Most people would have just stayed in the negatives and blamed their circumstances around them. You chose to accept your situation and learn from it.
You're doing so much good for the community. I’m wondering what can we do to help spread this. I think it starts with the kids… It seems like people are only interested in what's wrong in the world. You're wired differently… you intentionally look for everything that’s right. I think that is a beautiful mindset to have.
I think a great question to ask yourself is how can you wire people to get them to want to seek positive change. & how do you make this newsworthy to hold other people's attention? ( I imagine you’ve asked yourself this)
Anyways thanks again for positively impacting my view on Cleveland and other people in general."
Dawn,
Thank you for allowing us to share our story with you. Although we have just met, we feel like we have known you for a long time and you have instantly become a member of our family.
Thanks again and God Bless you,
Ken & Becky

"This is your calling. It's uplifting, it's inspiring. After getting off the phone this evening with these ladies and Travis, I felt so blessed. I was on fire with the Holy Spirit just in amazement of how he uses even the darkest times of our lives to create good in the world. These ladies were truly inspiring as you have always been my friend. God bless you, and may the Lord direct you and lead you to where you will make the biggest difference. We are not called to fit in, we are called to stand out, and that you do! "
I believe THIS is what God had mapped in your timeline and everything before this was practice and preparation for your Ultimate purpose! Think of it as you were in the nest with the rest and now He’s taking you to new heights by pushing out there! That also goes for preparing you and Travie for this moment also ❤️. God Bless
"You are not only a wonderful friend, but you are a light to others in their darkness.
You have been blessed with talents that are allowing you to do God’s work; your outgoing personality and ability to empathize with others and also inspire and encourage when needed are things not everyone has the ability to do.
Your tenacious when it comes to who you are and what it is you want to do-share more Good Stuff stories! You never waver and are committed to carrying out what you have been called to do in your community and in your part of this world-no matter the size.
I hope you’ll continue to stand firm on what is true in your heart for I know God is making a way (we already are seeing thing s happen!) for all good things to come to not only you but to others!"
